Thanks, Chris. You’ve made German look a bit easier for me in comparison to Dutch. Google Translate is pretty good — it’s odd that easy things like “her” and “his” are incorrect. I learned this from a friend of mine who is from Madrid and has been studying English for two years.

He didn’t teach our son German, and since Swiss-German isn’t a written language, it’s good that most of our Swiss family speak English.
