I posted the second through twenty-sixth drafts of my novel on Scribophile for critique.

This is what I wrote under "favorite books":

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Anything by Amy Tan, Wally Lamb, Kurt Vonnegut, Jhumpa Lahiri, Tom Robbins, Carl Hiaasen, Sherman Alexie, Christopher Buckley, & Dr. Suess - all of their styles were in my head while my clumsy fingers typed away. On the second draft of chapter two, book one, I was taken by the hand by the author DeForest Day and hurled into oncoming traffic. Eight years later, I published "Rain Forest Jim" - Bezos still has not sent me my profits.

Her writing muse lurks in the volcanic hills amidst mustangs, marmots and jackalopes. While hiking with her dogs, Ann stumbles upon stories of dark humor.
