I am from San Diego, California, but left there so long ago to move to Carson City, NV, that I am a "Home means Nevada" person. I am one of those people driving around in a not-too-busy city, being cut off by other drivers - usually with California plates. I really wish that our city would impose a 7-year building moratorium. Ranch land is being sold for cookie-cutter homes. I understand that a lot of Californians are moving to NV and OR for the more affordable life style.
