i never did like black friday sales and avoid the crowds. shopped on line a bit, but mostly locally. my friend (santos) had been to san francisco to visit his son (dean). i’ve only met dean once — at the funeral of santos’ long-time girlfriend, judy. santos, has been my good friend and client for many years. he was raised in east los angeles (norte mexico) and worked as a landscaper, janitor and carpenter.

when santos came home from san francisco, he told me there were many, many container ships stuck in the harbor. this was in mid-october. “you better do your Xmas shopping early.” i went to costco the same day and got a few gifts. (costco is out of paper towels. again.)i did not buy paper towels for gifts, but i will consider doing it this week.
after that i bought gifts locally — https://www.rupertsgemcutting.com/. luckily, i have not had to spend mucho dinero at tobin ruperts’ other shop.
