The Great Basin, comprising most of Nevada’s land area is the largest closed, no-outlet drainage area in North America.
Nevada has more mountain ranges than any other state. Its highest summit, Boundary Peak, ranks in at 13,146 feet, located near the west-central border of the state.
Well, that’s boring. I must have copied it from unfun factoids. Here’s the truth that I just made up: Nevada has more mountain ranges, brothels, casinos, jackalopes and supersites than any other state. We are number 1.
SallyMan Mountain is in Carson City - the state capitol - where we have: (a seven year moratorium on building cookie-cutter houses) (a law that mandates all new homes must be green energy) *Elon is giving it away. Cut the immigrant some slack, folks.* (cut-throat developers who are falling over each other to steal land from the tribe and sell it to Californicators).
Two years ago, in October, a fence was erected on BLM land by concerned wild horse advocates.
I would have preferred that Arrowhead Drive and Highway 50 be closed to allow our neighborhood horses to roam freely — they want to get back to the Carson River and forage. …
